Today is a very historical day in Military History:

1941 - Erlass Brothers, Nacht and Nebel, Dutch resistance fighters, are sent to German concentration camps
1941 - the German siege of Tobruk ends after 8 months
1941 - Japanese destroyers shell Midway island
1941 - The Japanese attack Pearl Harbor
1941 - the USS Ward becomes the first U.S. ship to sink a Japanese submarine
1941 - Australian bombers land on Timor/Ambon
