Via Hooah Wife and Friends. Thanks Greta.

Here is a 12:00 minute video that is well worth your time to watch. It defines the Soldier. It demonstrates the drive that seperates the Soldier from the non Soldier. It is why I am proud to say I served, I am still an American Soldier.

“I don’t think any man can exactly explain combat. It’s beyond words.

Take a combination of fear, anger, hunger, thirst, lonliness, homesikness, and wrap that all up in one reaction and you might approach the feeling.”
–PVT Paul Curtis, WWII

The video is here: Call to Duty — Boots on the Ground

“Because we believe in a cause higher than self, we chose to serve our country…

…fully understanding that this service could result in our death.

Few who have ever served their country will ever understand a Soldier’s heart.”
-General H. Norman Schwarzkopf

Take the time to view this video. Try to understand the minset of the Soldier, the comrade, the leaders, the veterans and the families.

And if that is not enough to get your heart pumping, look at this one:

Let me know what you think.

HOOAH!!

So have you sent a letter or a package to a Soldier for Halloween? Have you sent one at all?

It doesn’t matter if you know the Soldier, Sailor or Marine personally, just send them a note or package. They are alone over there and missing home.
