Remembering Pearl Harbor
It has been 68 years since the “Date which will live in Infamy.” It has been 68 years of memories, rememberances, and memorials to the fallen. It has been 68 years, and we STILL remember
The New York Times had this Front Page headline. “Japan Wars on U.S. and Britain. . .” on Monday, December 8, 1941
There are a lot of posts and news stories out there today about Pearl Harbor. There are a lot of stories. There are a fewer and fewer survivors that remember that day. There are a lot of news stories of those memories.
I invite you to visit The National Geographic site “Remembering Pearl Harbor“. I got a very good history review by viewing the Attack Map. If you are interested in the stories of those who survived, there is a Searchable Archive. If you just want the facts, they are here as well.
Our hearts go out to all that served, survived, and those that did not on the day of Rememberance. Please take a moment today to remember those who gave their lives defending our country.
